Marje Harris as former Manager of the Clayton Library Center for Genealogical Research and frequent speaker to many genealogy societies in the Houston area helped many Houston genealogists research their family histories – from beginners to the most expert.  She was especially supportive of HGF.  Besides her presentations at monthly meetings and service on the HGF Board, she also introduced many members to genealogical research during the ten years she gave HGF-sponsored classes on Beginning Genealogy.  She always donated proceeds from these classes to HGF.
 
HGF was honored to be named as a recipient of donations to commemorate Marje's work and memory.  All funds will be used to further genealogy research and education in the Houston area.
